A narcissistic experiment with no substance whatsoever

Oooooh, okay so this is just an experiment because I can't really be bothered writing up any of the films I watched over the weekend, and my very first watchalong (Hatya) though a RAGING SUCCESS, did not produce, um...the most intelligent analytical film commentary. The less said about that the better. That the conversation briefly bled over into Twitter was embarrassing enough :)

Anyway here:

VOICE POST ONE

TERRIBLE quality and it took me waaaay too long to figure out how to bloody do it, IF I HAVE EVEN MANAGED TO DO IT RIGHT...but hee hee! That's ME!

  1. OMG that's so awesome! And check this out, I just stayed up till 3 am last night recording an audio track commentary while watching Baton Baton Mein - great minds think alike! Now if I can just figure out how to post mine ...

BTW your accent is AMAZINGLY cute. I wish *I* had a cute accent.

Congrats you tech genius you. I can't wait to hear more. And when we get really ambitious, maybe we can all watch a movie at the same time and do an audio chat via Skype or something.

  2. Aw there's Ness! I like hearing people's voices too (except my own, of course - yech) :)

Amaluu, I have pondered the audio chat idea for awhile, but I wonder if having the sound on everyone's movies, which will all be slightly different, would make the actual convo a big muddle? The writer of Antarra's Ramblings blog has done it says it works okay, but I'm skeptical.

  3. Haha SUCCESS! Of course, I sound like I have a lisp (which I don't, in real life...at least, I don't THINK I do) and there's that whole annoying "Ummmmm" thing that my teacher when I was 7 tried and obviously failed to scared out of me, but HAHA, everyone thinks i have a cute accent.

DOOMING YOU ALL TO THE INEVITABLE Voice Post 2 in the distant future.

  4. Eek! That was so cute! (I've heard a Kiwi accent from a few different people on-screen but I've only had some Australian friends in-person...and I'm quite surprised at how different the accent is. Relatively, of course.)

About the "Ummm..." I KNOW! My Mom so tried to train that out of me, and it *still* creeps up on me when I have to "talk to think air" like a recording microphone.

Oh yes to Skype-voice-chat while watching a movie! It would be awesome if it works!

(Oh, and I'm American, so I think I'm culturally obliged to admire all exotic accents! I sound so...normal. I'm not complaining, just...Kiwis are cool!)
